Bad RagARTz

Bad Ragartz

Bad RagARTz, which takes place until the end of November on the streets of two picturesque towns, Bad Ragaz (Canton Graubünden, Switzerland) and Vaduz (Lichtenstein), is a great outdoor contemporary art exhibition, also known as the “Festival of Culture”. The exhibition’s creative title is a play on the name of the Swiss town Bad Ragaz. The exhibition, which began in May of this year, is internationally renowned and features more than 400 sculptures from national and international artists.

I had never been to Bad Ragaz nor had I ever heard of this exhibition, so I was unexpectedly and pleasantly surprised to discover this lovely town and its numerous art pieces. I went for a nice walk through the town and enjoyed viewing the mountains, huge pines, river and park. Especially enjoyable was the time I spent gazing at sculptures of different sizes and materials; some were made from wood, others from metal, plastic, or other mediums. There are small plates next to every piece that provide information about the author and his/her work. The sculptures reflect moments and phenomena of everyday life. I had a lot of fun looking at them and taking pictures!

Swiss Glam definitely recommends an artsy walk in Bad Ragaz or Vaduz!
