Restaurant Wystube Isebähnli

Strolling in the old town of Zurich, it is perhaps not that easy to notice all the hidden gems, unique places and trendy locations that narrow cozy streets may host. I will try to cover step by step those I discovered and loved!

Definitely one such place is restaurant Wystube Isebähnli, located in the former 200-year-old wine tavern on the Froschaugasse. It is quite a small, but very cosy and neat location. In 2008, Yücel Ersan bought the place and transformed it into a high-quality restaurant of the same name. It is a meeting point for international guests, artists and businesspeople who value exquisite food and rare wines.

Every week the restaurant Wystube Isebähnli has a different menu that consists of five to seven courses made of seasonal products, accompanied with great wines stored in the 800-year-old vaulted cellar.

I enjoyed the culinary adventure, very tasty wines, conversations of other restaurant guests, harmoniously combined with the charm of the old town and coziness of the historical building.
