Upon arrival at the 7132 hotel it is impossible not to appreciate the modern design of the hotel building, – sleek, white, slightly futuristic and very stylish.
I loved the hotel’s elegant furniture, both outdoor, in communal areas and in the rooms. The exquisite interior design is something the hotel can definitely be proud of: numerous fireplaces, a cozy lobby, a library, a gorgeous lounge bar with a Steinway & Sons piano (a true masterpiece in its own right). Every evening guests can enjoy live music that gives the place an even more sophisticated atmosphere.
The hotel boasts three superb restaurants: Silver Restaurant with Michelin chef Sven Wassmer who has created a great blend of regional treasures using the best ingredients from around the world; Red Restaurant with all-time classic dishes, some of them prepared right in front of the table and an Italian restaurant daPapà with cheerful Italian service and very tasty pizza!
The 7132 hotel features 91 rooms. The three new 90-m2 Kengo Kuma suites were opened in August 2015. Spacious, luxuriously minimalistic suites offer the best view of the Valley, a private thermal bath experience and a transfer by helicopter.
Another highlight of the area is of course the famous national and international award wining thermal baths with 60,000 slabs of Vals quartzite piled one on top of the other – an architectural masterpiece created by Swiss talent Peter Zumthor. A very calm and relaxing place with heated, calendula and ice baths, an outdoor pool and lots of space.
The Spa-deluxe room I stayed in has a large round bathtub, an amazing walk-in closet, balcony with mountain views, the most beautiful mini bar I have ever seen and some chocolate in hidden placesJ
The Vals valley is perfect for hiking, climbing and biking. Riding on an e-bike from the 7132 hotel, it was great to discover the area with its streams, mountain lakes and waterfalls, meeting animals along the way and just enjoying the Swiss landscape and breathing clean Alpine air.
