Hotel Beau-Rivage Geneva

The hotel Beau-Rivage in Geneva was founded in 1865 by Jean-Jacques Mayer, and as it has been passed down the family and retains a classic soul, throughout the years it has brought a spirit of innovation and modernity to the promenade on the shores of Lake Léman. For example, in 1873, they installed a hydraulic elevator – the first in Switzerland and one of only a few in the world.

The hotel offers a variety of options for activities, including lovely venues suitable for parties, weddings, birthdays, and conferences. Each of the available event spaces have their own unique scenery and wonderful views.

The Beau-Rivage sits in the center of Geneva, close to the famous the luxury shopping street Rue du Rhône, Old Town and a peaceful lake side promenade.

The recently renovated Elizabeth Taylor duplex suite we had a pleasure to stay in fascinates with its long windows, a view of both the Jet d’Eau and Lake Geneva, a large naturally lit bathroom, a jacuzzi on the terrace, and a state of the art room control system (for example a sky view from your bed so you can fall asleep admiring the stars), authentic furnishings and the finest materials.

From the breathtaking views of the mountains, lake, and the city, to the elegance of the hotel’s grounds and suites, the Beau-Rivage proves that in each successive era it can blend past architectural aesthetics with the forward-thinking design of the present. Together they offer a truly contemporary and refined experience that has long attracted famous guests and other celebrated figures and will likely continue to remain a fixture in the area.
