The internationally established Opera Gallery unveiled in June 2018 its new exhibition space in the prestigious location in Zurich – on Bahnhofstrasse, just next to the lake. In Switzerland it is the second Opera Gallery – the first one was opened in Geneva (Place de Longemalle 10-12, 1204 Genève).
Founded in 1994, Opera Gallery is a network of galleries all around the world, active both in primary and secondary markers and definitely one of the leading dealers in modern and contemporary art.
The newly opened 450 sq. m large gallery in Zurich exhibits unique shows of 20thand 21stcentury art, collaborations with some notable names in contemporary art as well as with international and Swiss emerging artists. The current exhibition celebrates works of such artists like Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Fernand Léger, Joan Miro, Andy Denzler, Jean Dubuffet, Keith Haring and others.
I was happy to attend the opening and meet the founder and chairman of Opera Gallery Gilles Dyan, director Opera Gallery Geneva Jordan Lahmi and director Opera Gallery Zurich Maxime Groosman.
