As part of Zurich Art Weekend, Illuma. launches its first exhibition “If I Can Whisper the Mystery”, on view from June 14–24, 2025 at Bahnhofstrasse 75/79. This multisensory group show brings together six contemporary artists exploring the quiet beauty of color, sound, and material through immersive and poetic works.
Curated by Alyona Ivanova, the exhibition highlights how art can resonate through subtlety. “Art is not always a shout—it is often a whisper,” she notes. The featured artists—Janik Bürgin, Veronika Malyakina, Greg Papania, Xinyi Hu, Adrian Falkner (SMASH137), and Yoomoota (Taras Yoom)—invite visitors to engage deeply with their surroundings and emotions.
Highlights include:
- Bürgin’s abstract photo works that blur into painting.
- Malyakina’s detailed textiles based on historic techniques.
- Papania’s sensory installations that blend light and sound for healing.
- Hu’s interactive sound sculptures exploring connection.
- Yoomoota’s whimsical, science-inspired cosmos.
- Falkner’s graffiti-based abstractions of urban life.
Drawing from color theory, philosophy, and spiritual aesthetics, the exhibition offers a contemplative break from the noise—transforming everyday materials into experiences of wonder.
Organized by Illuma., the show reflects its mission to present thoughtful, innovative exhibitions that challenge perception. As Zurich grows as a contemporary art capital, “If I Can Whisper the Mystery” adds a meaningful and multisensory voice to the dialogue.
