DENZA Makes Its Swiss Debut: A New Player in Luxury Mobility

A new name has arrived on Switzerland’s premium automotive scene. DENZA, the luxury mobility brand of the BYD Group, celebrated its official Swiss market launch in Zurich, bringing together around 150 media representatives and content creators, followed by an exclusive gala evening for invited guests.

Built around the philosophy “Technology Drives Elegance,” DENZA combines advanced technology with contemporary design, performance and comfort. The brand was originally founded in 2010 as a partnership between BYD and Daimler and is now entering a new chapter with its European expansion.

Four Models for Switzerland

DENZA launches in Switzerland with four models already available to order: the Z9GT, D9, DENZA Z and BAO 5.

Leading the line-up is the DENZA Z9GT, a sophisticated shooting brake designed for long-distance comfort and performance. Its fully electric version delivers more than 1,156 hp and a range of over 600 kilometres, while a Super Hybrid DM-i version offers additional flexibility for longer journeys.

The DENZA D9 takes a different approach to luxury. Designed as a spacious seven-seat mobile lounge, it places comfort and travel experience at the centre.

For those looking for something more performance-driven, the fully electric DENZA Z delivers up to 1,604 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.96 seconds. Completing the range, the BAO 5 combines premium comfort with genuine off-road capabilities.

Expanding Across Switzerland

The first DENZA locations in Zurich, Geneva and St. Gallen are already active, with six Swiss sales locations planned by the end of 2026.

With its combination of ambitious technology, distinctive design and a diverse model range, DENZA’s arrival introduces a fresh perspective to Switzerland’s premium mobility landscape.
