La Gioia Ascona is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind hideaway located in Ticino, Switzerland, not far from the border of Italy. It is just 2 km from Ascona, nestled amongst the steep cliffs of Ronco Sopra, around 70 m above Lago Maggiore. A 2,000 m2 oasis surrounded by forests, the suites can be reached via a private gondola lift.
Due to its elevation, its two modern, exquisitely furnished suites offer magnificent panoramic views across the lake to the Isola di Brissago. The Garden Suite, from the vantage point of the lush, green, terraced lower floor, and the Grand Suite, from the penthouse-style upper floor encircled by a large, airy balcony. Both suites are ideal for couples or families traveling together and can even be connected.
All the suites are equipped with box spring beds, floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, a kitchenette, a generous dining area, Nespresso coffee machine, sun loungers – and, of course, breathtaking scenery.
All guests have access to the heated outdoor pool, featuring massage jets and a counter-current system, and to the panoramic sauna with views over the lake. The La Gioia Ascona is also a space for unique works of contemporary art, where guests can admire the wonderful collection of paintings and sculptures outside, surrounded by local plants and natural stone walls.
During your stay, the charismatic owners, Andreas and Martina, offer jewelry and art consultations upon request, which can be hosted from the privacy of their suite. Martina, a professional jewelry designer, offers jewelry advice and showcases her design collections.
