«Oriental Hideaway» Lebanese Pop-Up Restaurant – Dolder Grand

The Dolder Grand, Zurich’s luxury five-star hotel, is hosting a unique Lebanese pop-up restaurant throughout the fall season this year.

This fall, Dolder’s celebrated Oriental Chef de Cuisine, Firas El-Borji, is taking his guests on a fascinating culinary journey through Arabia, offering them the chance to sample a delectable range of Middle Eastern dishes in the anticipated “Oriental Hideaway”.

From contemporary twists on creamy hummus and soft falafel to the Arabian flavours of Babaganousch, El-Borji’s tantalising Lebanese dishes are the perfect blend of modernity and tradition, with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and exquisite quality.

Light appetizers lead to melt-in-your-mouth main courses at the “Oriental Hideaway”, a place where every flavour is perfectly crafted, with a wide array of options to suit all taste buds. From the classic mezze variations and El Borji’s newest culinary delight, the aromatic Kebab à la Firas, to a sophisticated selection of sweet desserts, guests can tuck into a number of plates, before ending their experience with the imaginative cocktail creations and authentic wines from 1001 Nights.

El-Borji’s plates are always artfully presented, bursting with bright colours and unusual creations. This can also be seen in the interior of his elegant pop-up restaurant, which is brimming with fresh flowers and light. With an exotic colour theme and a noble ambience to match, the “Oriental Hideaway” is an enchanting space sure to impress.

Chef’s aromatic delights are loved by local visitors as much as by the regal Dolder Grand’s discerning guests, hailing from various Arab countries. The authenticity of the flavours is seen in the use of exotic spices from the Orient and first-class olive oil, both of which he brings especially from his homeland, Lebanon. A culinary master, El-Borji states: “My cuisine thrives on a wide selection; it should be vibrant in terms of colours and flavours.”

The extraordinary pop-up restaurant, “Oriental Hideaway”, is open to guests until October 29, Tuesday through Saturday, between 6:00 and 10:00 PM.

Escape the hustle of the city and experience the exceptional culinary delights of the Middle East, all from the elegant setting of the Dolder Grand!
