On the shores of Lake Lucerne, directly at the foot of Mount Rigi, lies the charming 4-star boutique hotel — Hotel Vitznauerhof. This landmarked art nouveau hotel is situated in the heart of Switzerland, having played host to many famous personalities since 1901, when it was built.
All-in-all, the hotel features 53 rooms and suites featuring modern minimalistic decor. Relaxation and holistic well-being are also promised by the Vitznauerhof Spa. Situated within the hotel, right on the lake, it includes a sauna room, heated outdoor whirlpool, relaxation room, and fitness area. A sizeable 900 square meters, it’s divided into six light-flooded rooms in which to engage in rejuvenating activities and treatments.
Hotel Vitznauerhof offers a dreamlike setting for seminars, meetings and banquets alike — even for up to 200 people. In Vitznau, the sunset has been proven to last the longest, bathing the horizon in the most appealing colors.
These beautiful sunsets can be best observed in the hotel’s fine dining restaurant, Sens. Here, Jeroen Achtien and his team cultivate fermentation-based cuisine at the highest level. Uncompromising in terms of quality and careful in terms of regionality and seasonality, he sources much of the produce directly from his own garden on the hotel premises.
At Hotel Vitznauerhof, watersports meets gastronomy, as well. This year, the innovative gastronomy concept Ibiza Food Studio, by top Danish chef Boris Buono is coming to Lake Lucerne from 29 May 2023 until the end of summer at the fine-dining restaurant Sens — directly on the water. Boris Buono is the former sous chef of Restaurant Noma in Copenhagen and the founder of the most legendary restaurant on Ibiza.
Outside, Hotel Vitznauerhof tempts you to delight in the gorgeous surroundings. Guests can enjoy stand-up paddle boarding, a private beach, and wakeboarding on the lake. Or hop on a GANZ Elektroboot — an electric boat that glides silently across the lake at a leisurely 16-25 km ph, meaning you won’t need a boating license.
