On 30 August 2026, Zurich’s Augustinergasse transformed into a lively culinary hotspot for the Soi 28 Street Food Festival, bringing together some of Switzerland’s most exciting chefs for a relaxed day of great food, music and summer atmosphere.
Hosted by Stefan Heilemann and Miguel Marques, the festival took fine dining out of the traditional restaurant setting and onto the street. Twelve chefs presented their own interpretations of street food throughout the day, creating a delicious journey through different cuisines and culinary styles.
The line-up included Daniel Zeindlhofer of IGNIV, Stefan Jäckel of La Rôtisserie, Dario Moresco of Orsini, Alessandro Scaccia of KLE, Silvio Germann of Mammertsberg, Antonio Colaianni of Restaurant Freilager, Florian Stolte of Restaurant 1789 at Traube Tonbach and Dan Shu of Gaijin Izakaya, among others.
The menu was just as diverse: from Stefan Heilemann’s spicy Thai papaya salad with deep-fried scampi and KLE’s fried mushrooms to deep-fried lasagna, Massaman Thai curry and Miguel Marques’ Soi 28-style Singapore chilli crab. Soft-serve ice cream from the Widder Restaurant offered a sweet finish.
Accompanied by Champagne, cocktails and beats by DJ Nici Faerber, the festival created an easy-going atmosphere in the heart of Zurich’s Old Town.
What made the concept particularly appealing was the opportunity to experience the creativity of renowned chefs in an informal setting – tasting, discovering and meeting the people behind the dishes.
A flavorful summer Sunday bringing together fine-dining talent and Zurich street-food spirit in the heart of the city.
