ZOA CITY – Zurich Open Air City 2022 Emeli Sandé

Zurich Openair launches a new event series this year – at the Dolder ice rink: ZOA CITY. From mid-June to the end of July 2022, visitors are invited to several individual show days with a very special ambience. “Enjoying the stars on stage while admiring the sunset high above Zurich – that’s ZOA CITY,” says Rolf Ronner, managing director of the event.

The spacious area offers plenty of room to linger and dance in front of the stage, while secluded seating is an invitation to relax and enjoy. The look & feel are coordinated with the natural surroundings of the Dolder ice rink. The food & drinks offer is made in cooperation with local suppliers, thus enabling a different culinary selection from show day to show day. “With ZOA CITY, we are creating an event that combines a festival feeling, culinary delights and relaxed get-togethers,” says the director.

On Saturday the 23rd of July Swiss singer Marius Bear, who represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 and conquered the hearts of all spectators with his new song “Boys Do Cry”, performed in his charming manner as the first act right before twilight.

Later on British singer songwriter Emeli Sandé brought her new album and emotions to the ZOA City stage and was warmly welcomed by the local audience. With her well-known hits “Next To Me”, “Read All About It” and her latest song from the album “Let’s Say For Instance”, Emeli Sandé was responsible for an absolutely magical atmosphere at ZOA City.
