Baselworld 2018

The updated Baselworld edition 2018 was shorter, had fewer exhibitors (650 brands) but was still insightful. It is as before an important meeting point of partners, elite customers, international retailers, watch collectors and media from all over the world.

News and trends of the watch industry based on the show:

  • Colors: Blue remains “the new black” and is still very popular but the color palette got extended to chocolate brown, green, salmon and orange
  • Vintage-inspired design of the watches: 60s and 70s look with creative finishes
  • A focus to millennials with smart watches and watches out of affordable materials
  • More glamorous female timepieces, many with multiple complications

Together with big players and world-knownbrands with central booths at the exhibition halls of Messe Basel, Les Ateliers space was reserved for over 30 independent watch brands.

Save the date of the watch trade show Baselworld next year: 21.03. – 26.03.2019.
