Charity Ball Lausanne

“Treasures of Russia” is the first Russian ball in Switzerland that took place with the support of the embassy of the Russian Federation in Switzerland on October 28th 2017 in Lausanne at the aristocratic hotel Beau Rivage Palace. The event brought together people living in Switzerland who are deeply attuned to the Russian culture. The organizer of the ball was organization “Russian Nights in Switzerland” founded by Zlata Smirnova.

Honored guest of the ball, People’s Artist of Russia Konstantin Khabensky read excerpts from Russian classics and fascinated the audience with his charm and talent. Opera performances, recitations of fragments of great Russian art works, a chamber orchestra, a dance program, an auction and a Russian festive dinner were included into the rich program of this cultural event. The ball was also used as a fund-raising platform for the Konstantin Khabensky Charitable Foundation that ensures that children with brain tumors promptly receive medical care.

The dance masters and choreographers of the ball were Dmitry Platov amd Ekaterina Grafodatskaya, the organizers of one of Russia’s largest ballroom projects “Sevastopol Ball”.

I had the pleasure of being master of ceremony at the ball together with Sergey Fedianin, event and radio presenter from Russia. The atmosphere of a classical ball, the participation of stars of the Russian artistic world made the Grand Charity Ball an unforgettable experience!
