Hublot, Depeche Mode and charity:water

During this year’s Baselworld, international watch and jewellery exhibition, I had the pleasure of witnessing the continuation of the great collaboration between the Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot, NGO charity:water whose mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries and legendary music band Depeche Mode. Depech Mode’s amazing private concert in Basel for the Hublot friends and partners was very inspiring, full of positive energy and power. At the press conference on the following day the CEO of Hublot Ricardo Guadalupe, Scott Harrison, founder of the charity:water and the band discussed the importance of providing people in the developing countries with the vital source of life – drinking water.

Hublot has created a limited edition (250 pieces) watch to celebrate the band’s new album Spirit and their upcoming Global Spirit Tour. The sales of the watch will raise funds for charity:water. The new Big Bang Unico Depeche Mode bears the name of the band’s Global Spirit tour and the emblematic charity:water jerrycan symbol on the sapphire crystal, which reveals the HUB1242 movement. The watch has been carved in a 45mm ceramic knurled case engraved with thousands of pyramids extending to the push-buttons, the crown and the indices. The watch is adorned with a perfect, smooth leather strap to which a detachable studded cuff can be added to extend the rock-star look right down to the wrist.

Save water, meet the legends Depeche Mode in Zurich on June 18th at Letzigrund stadium and discover the great Baselworld novelties of Hublot
