Cocktail Masterclass at ONYX Bar – Park Hyatt Zurich

Cocktail masterclasses with master mixologist and bar manager Hercules Tsibis in the legendary ONYX Bar at the Park Hyatt Zurich are perfect for stirring up some fun in a company networking event, team building activity or a nice private gathering with friends.

Greek master mixologist Hercules Tsibis, who has been named Best Bartender by GaultMillau and World Bartending Champion New York 2000, is a great professional and a fun entertainer. 

At the masterclass, Hercules shares his in-depth knowledge of spirits, as well as the origin and creation of various cocktails, in an entertaining and exciting way. Throughout the evening, participants get to mix at least three to four cocktails, which can be made vegan or non-alcoholic upon request, under Hercules’s expert guidance. After learning the basics – stirred, shaken and built – participants get to test their skills even further by learning to make refined variations of popular cocktail classics and trendsetters, or Hercules’ own special recipes in a step-by-step guide. 

Hercules speaks five languages fluently, which must have come in handy while managing numerous famous bars all around the world. These include Berlin, London, New York, Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, Los Angeles, Oslo, Cape Town and Sidney. During his international career, the 56-year-old earned numerous prestigious titles in his profession. For his latest book, Vermouth, he received the Gold award in the beverage book category at the “Swiss Gourmet Book Award 2022” in Zurich just last week. Thanks to his international experience as a bartender, trainer and successful author, he responds playfully, easily and spontaneously to individual questions and requests from the cocktail lovers attending his masterclass.

The cocktail masterclasses in the ONYX at the Park Hyatt Zurich can be booked for groups of two or up to 50 participants (price per person from CHF 120.-). Culinary delights and other extras around the Cocktail Masterclasses can be settled according to individual arrangements.
