DAS ZELT – 20 Years Anniversary Gala 2022

The 20 years anniversary gala of the Swiss comedy and circus performance show and the biggest Swiss touring theater DAS ZELT took place in Zurich on the 10^th of April 2022 and gathered prominent Swiss people from culture, show, politics and business circles.

Swiss radio and TV presenter Nicole Berchtold moderated the award ceremony of the Das Zelt Gala 2022 that unfolded its highlights from the last 20 years. For the first time in the history of the show the “Prix de Joie” was awarded. The prize honors people who have managed to bring joy to people in their field and went beyond their area of expertise. Former Federal Councillor Adolf Ogi was very happy to receive the prize from his colleague – former Federal Councillor Moritz Leuenberger.

“A seven-member Academy chose Adolf Ogi as the prize winner because with his statement “Joy prevails!” (German: “Freude herrscht!”) he wrote a piece of Swiss history and proved that politics is not only black and white,” says DAS ZELT director and founder Adrian Steiner, explaining the choice. “He is a person who lives joy and gives joy, just like laudator former Federal Councilor Moritz Leuenberger. Together they went through lots of ups and downs and have always kept a brilliant sense of humor. This has always been an important cornerstone of DAS ZELT,” he continued.

DAS ZELT has established itself from an initially small and daring project to an integral part of Swiss cultural life. It is one of the few institutions that manages to unite celebrities from the various cultural sectors as well as from politics and business.

During the gala the live the audience enjoyed the on-stage performances of the Büetzer Buebe, Bliss, Baldrian, Helga Schneider, Charles Nguela, Lapsus, Michael Elsener, Cenk Korkmaz as well as the young talents from the show Young artists from DAS ZELT. Divertimento, David Dimitri as well as Christa Rigozzi visited the show as talk guests on the sofa and reviewed the last 20 years.
