After a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Stars in Town returns to Schaffhausen’s old town in August 2022.
The popular Swiss German music festival has a fresh look, lasts for two weeks and comes with many surprises. The festival program focuses on the strong lineup of entertainers, including such artists as Rag’n’Bone Man, Hecht, Jan Delay, Tom Grennan, Patent Ochsner and Parov Stelar performing live on stage.
This summer, a varied program attracts visitors to Schaffhausen with evergreens, urban and soul, hip-hop, electronic and Swiss music. Each evening, the stringency of music will be maintained to the appreciation of the visitors.
Stars in Town established itself as one of the most beautiful and congenial music festivals in Switzerland by 2019. With three concerts per evening on the main stage, even more concerts on the newcomer stage “Startrampe,” as well as attractive side events, Stars in Town has welcomed around 300,000 guests in the past 10 years.
During its two-year absence, the organizing team pushed ahead with the further development of the festival despite difficult conditions. This year, guests see a new appearance created by the St. Gallen graphic agency “die Gestalter,” which is also responsible for the Open Air St. Gallen music festival.
With innovative infrastructure, lovely decorations, a variety of street food and cozy bars, Stars in Town intends to strengthen the festival character and puts the lively overall experience in the foreground for attendees.
