The Swiss Music Awards, the most important platform for established and up and coming Swiss musicians celebrated its 10th anniversary this year! The show was broadcast live on SRF 2 and One TV.
It was a very interesting and exciting event! Here are some highlights:
- Great acts like: James Blunt, Alvaro Soler, Mark Forster, Damian Lynn, Lo & Leduc, Pegasus and Züri West
- Entertaining hosting from Stefan Büsser and Alexandra Maurer
- Touching speeches by musicians like Hecht, DJ Bobo, Joy Matter (widow of the famous Swiss singer-song writer Mani Matter, who received the Tribute Award) and
- World famous DJ Bobo, who has been in the music industry for more than 25 years with 15 million records sold, received the Outstanding Achievement Award
- The youngest winner of the SMA Nemo gave a brilliant performance, singing in his own unique way Mani Matter’s song “Zündhölzli”
- The great song by the band Dabu Fantastic “Angelina” that got Best Hit Award was performed on stage by Dabu Fantastic and Hecht
- An afterparty with beats from DJ Antoine in the Kaufleuten club with almost all the nominees, performers and winners
