Opened in September 2018 the Loy Fah Contemporary Thai Restaurant is like a short trip to Bangkok without leaving the canton of Zurich. Located at almost 800 m above sea level in the Hotel Panorama Resort & Spa in Feusisberg the restaurant impresses with its decor, skillfully created by Thai architects and a great choice of contemporary Thai dishes.
The celebrated Thai chef Tammasak Chootong (Noi) impresses with culinary delights of the authentic contemporary Thai cuisine. Chef Noi, the owner of the restaurant “Suay” in Phuket, founder of the cooking school “Positive Kitchen” already gathered experience in Europe while working in the Michelin restaurant “Top Air” in Stuttgart. In the restaurant Loy Fah special attention is paid to the high quality ingredients, innovative cooking techniques and elegant presentation.
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, smiley staff (most of them are Thai) and amazing night views of the Lake Zurich. I especially loved the spicy warm long eggplants with grilled tiger prawns, “Tom Kha“ cappuccino coconut soup and mango sticky rice spring roll with flamed mango and black sesame ice cream as dessert.
